Episode 82: Updates! w/ A VERY Special Guest…

Hey Everyone…

It has been ONE year, to the day, since we posted a show for Breakin’ In! Last time we chatted, it was the morning that Cheryl was coming home from the hospital. Well here we are now, a year later and we thought it would be fun to sit down and give you some updates because a LOT has been happening.

So who exactly am I sitting down with to make it a “we?” Pretty sure you already know, but you’ll have to give it a listen to find out if you’re right.

Enjoy and hopefully you won’t have to wait another year before we post a new show.

Till next time…

Episode 81: “What the F@!K Happened?!”

So we had to take a break for awhile and it wasn’t by choice. Unfortunately, Cheryl got very sick and we almost lost her. I explain all in this episode. Take a listen if you want to find out what happened.

The goal is to one day return to the mics. Until then, expect episodes here and there, but obviously, until Cheryl gets better, we won’t be doing a show every week.

I will pop on and update everyone on her progress from time to time. Please, send your positive vibes. She needs them right now.

Also, BIG thanks to ALL of you for continuing to visit the site and listen to the show. It’s been great.

Talk soon… Manny

Episode 80: “Event Planning and Keeping the Chain Going…”

Welcome to another episode of Breakin’ In!

This week Cheryl takes the reigns and chats about her latest project. The in’s and out’s of event planning, more specifically concert promotion!

She can really use your help out there. It’s a charity event to benefit college students and if you could just lend your support by liking the event’s Facebook page, it would go a long way. Here’s the link: https://www.facebook.com/celebritybenefitshowcase

as for me, I’m in full writing mode and we chat about how hard that is to keep going. Now…

On to the show! Put some cheese on that cracker!

Episode 77: “The Best Man, Chinatown and Being Open…”

Welcome to another edition of Breakin’ In!

This week we sit down and talk about how movies emotionally get to us which is why we’re all really doing this, right? Not doing it for the money… RIGHT?!

Then I talk about a worthy experiment that all of you should try with the script of Chinatown.

Lastly we update you on some stuff that we’re working on and talk about being open to opportunities while trying to get your screenwriting career off the ground.

Let’s just hop to it! Enjoy!

Episode 76: “Movin’ Out to Cali!”

Hey Everyone! Welcome to another episode of Breakin’ In!

This week, Cheryl and I sit down and chat about the overwhelming ordeal of moving to Los Angeles. Where do you even start? Who do you listen to and most importantly, where do you live?!

Hopefully the info will be invaluable to you! Anyway, let’s get to the show! Enjoy…

Episode 75: “We Oopsed a Little Bit…

We chatted for an hour… thanks to me, only 4 minutes recorded. That being said, here’s a re-conversation to make up for it.

Next week we’re going to chat about moving out to LA and want your questions. Anything you want to know, ask us. We’re going to start a 3 part expose on the concept of moving out here.

That being said, let’s get to the show!

Episode 74: “Golden Globes Review…”

Hey Everyone, welcome back to another episode of Breakin’ In!

This week, Cheryl and I chat about the last of the “awards movies” and how it went at the Golden Globes. We also chat about the “ho-humness” of the year for movies and more importantly, the depressing year of Oscar screeners.

The song this week is Kanye West’s “Gold Digger” because… well… it just seemed fitting. Now… OFF TO THE SHOW! Enjoy…

Episode 73: “The Best and Worst of 2013!”

Happy New Year everyone!

This week, Cheryl and I sit down and chat about the ebbs and flows of 2013. We tackle the latest movies, the biggest flops and out own personal successes (and struggles) of the previous year.

We’re looking forward to a great 2014 and wish the best for all you creative folks out there. Just remember one thing for the new year:
